MATTHEW TREBEK – ALEX TREBEK’S SON

Holding the records of being one of TV’s longest-running game shows and one of TV’s longest-standing game show hosts are Jeopardy and its host, Alex Trebek. Trebek began his stint on the show in 1964, and continues to do it to this day!

Trebek’s son, Matthew Trebek, grew up watching his dad host Jeopardy, but he was never tempted to step in front of the camera himself. Instead, he chose an entirely unrelated career path and became a restaurateur. He opened up Oso, a Mexican street-food restaurant in Hamilton Heights, along with his business partner, Nodar Mosiashvili. Matthew may have not used his father’s fame, fortune, and influence to grow a Hollywood career, but it sure would have helped when looking for investors to get his business off the ground!
