Shirley MacLaine – Born in 1934

Renowned actress Shirley MacLaine actually started her career out as a ballet dancer but after several injuries, she decided to quit ballet as it turned out to be too physically demanding for her. However, she was spotted by a producer for Paramount Pictures at one of her performances which allowed her to make a seamless segue into her next career.

Her debut role in Hitchcock’s The Trouble with Harry in 1955 made her an instant success – she even won a Golden Globe award in the category New Star of the Year! She went on to star in many hit movies, including Terms of Endearment, which earned her an Oscar for Best Actress.

At 85 years old, Shirley MacLaine has shown no interest in retiring. Her most recent role was in the movie Noelle. She also seems to have aged flawlessly. She says the secret behind her youthfulness is a 3-parter: believing you are young, working out, and living a worry-free life.
