Sissy Spacek – Born in 1949

This list would not be complete without mentioning 68-year old Sissy Spacek. The musician-turned actress may have failed at getting her singing career off the ground, but after a brief break during which she studied acting, she turned her life around by changing course. Her debut acting role was in Andy Warhol’s Women in revolt, followed by a role on Badlands.

She may not have had success as a singer herself, but her portrayal as country music singer Loretta Lynn in the 1980s movie Coal Miner’s Daughter earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress! Spacek has acted in a range of genres, some of her most recent being the crime-comedy film The Old Man and the Gun in 2018, and the web series, Homecoming. Sissy says the secret to her flawless beauty even at this age is walking (not running), eating healthy, staying out of the sun, and most importantly, keeping her mind clear.
