Use Salt As A Pesticide

Commercially-produced bug sprays have harsh chemicals that you may not be comfortable using, but why worry when you have an all-natural solution? Salt helps deter insects, mainly ants, from entering the house, so just sprinkle some across doors and windows to prevent them from entering.

While salt won’t kill ants, it’ll keep them away. Vinegar also acts as an ant-repellant, so if you don’t mind the smell, you could brush a salt and vinegar concoction to doors and windows as well. Keep in mind that you will need to reapply this mixture occasionally as it wears off.
