Turn Your Clothes Colorfast

Colorfast clothes are made out of fabrics designed to retain their color after washing. If you have faded clothes, salt can help you prevent this from happening. In fact, textile companies and fabric manufacturers often use salt to achieve the same effect.

To do this at home, combine ½ cup of salt and ½ cup of vinegar into ½ gallon water. Soak your clothes in this mixture, turning them around every couple of hours. Once 24 hours have passed, remove your garments and rinse with cold water.
