Clean Your Copper, Too

Copper tools also tend to tarnish and stain over time, and salt is one way to clean them. Combine 1 tablespoon of salt into 1 cup of vinegar and use a cloth soaked in this mixture to rub the stains away.

To clean an entire pot, add the salt and vinegar solution to 3 cups of boiling water. Immerse the entire pot or pan into this and let it boil until all the grime washes off. Once it has become clear, remove it from the water and let it cool before gently washing it with soap and water.
