Brighten and Purify Your Wooden Cutting Board
Over time, cutting boards get tiny nicks and grooves which can then get food particles that sink into them. This makes it a breeding ground for bacteria and let’s not mention the smell!
Salt is a great way to get rid of these food particles and brighten your board’s color. Sprinkle your board with table salt and rub it with a warm, damp washcloth. Once the board has been scrubbed thoroughly, wash it with sudsy water regularly. This process may be repeated until your board looks as good as new.
