Harvey Keitel joined the Marines when he was just sixteen years old, and he was sent to Lebanon in Operation Blue Bat. He then returned, working as a court reporter before he decided to give acting a try. Keitel started his acting career in the late sixties and later became one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Keitel’s appearances in projects such as Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Bugsy, Thelma & Louise, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and more earned him Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. He also was president of the Actors Studio from 1995 until 2017.
