Bob Barker is most famous for his role as the host on the daytime game show The Price Is Right, which ran for thirty years and was the longest-running game show in TV history. He also hosted Truth or Consequences before that for nearly twenty years. Before he had fifty years of game show hosting experience, Barker served in the Navy.

As a Navy member, he served during WWII. It wasn’t until 1950 that he pursued a broadcasting career, first hosting his own radio show before turning to daytime television. He also is a dedicated animal rights activist.
