Hugh Hefner was the founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine. Hefner served the Military before he came up with the idea for Playboy. He was an infantry clerk and drawing cartoons for various military newspapers. He served as a noncombatant before he got discharged in 1946 from the military.
He later studied at the Chicago Art Institute and then earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois. Hugh changed the landscape of American culture with his groundbreaking publication, Playboy. He became one of the most famous advocates of “sexual liberation” and “freedom of expression.”
